Project Lorenzo - A Time for Change
Our 16-year-old founder, Armando Parrish, created this nonprofit to raise money to help people currently living on the streets.  Besides helping with funding while transitioning to permanent housing, we provide job skills training, mentoring, and job placement services for the homeless. We partner with homeless recovery centers to identify individuals who are ready for our program.

LORENZO'S STORY
As told by our 16-year-old founder, Armando Parrish

This is Lorenzo. I do not know his last name, but what I do know is that he has been living underneath a bridge located near highway 75 in Dallas, Texas for 20+ years.  I have seen him through the worst of times, and I am done seeing him struggle. The basic necessities of life that have been denied to him are the ones we waste without a second thought. As humans it is our duty to take care of our own flock, and Lorenzo is part of that flock. Not just Lorenzo, all of the homeless men and women who are denied the basic rights of a human being.

I know this is a hard year on all Americans, but I ask you from the bottom of my heart to donate anything you can. He has struggled far more than any of us could even begin to imagine. With this money, he could live in an apartment for a year, clean up his teeth, go to a doctor, get in touch with his family, help others, and apply for a secure job to continue an upward, positive trend in his life. Lorenzo needs these funds as soon as possible so he can get his life back on track. He just turned 63 years old, and is still living under a traffic-polluted bridge in Downtown Dallas. All he has that keeps him going is the Lord, and that alone is what keeps his positive mentality. The only true path to happiness is by helping others and becoming a humble servant, and Lorenzo has been helping others even as a homeless man who has nothing else to offer. Absolutely anything helps. Thank you and God Bless.
